My disclosing of living cost in Singapore June is late because I am busy with buying my first property in Shanghai. I don’t know if it is correct though lots of people say the asset price will continue increasing. I already assigned the contract and spent all of my money. Now, I have a huge debt because of my mortgage. I have to say, the lending rate is really high in Shanghai. My mortgage rates is 5.6% for 30 years from ccb bank in Shanghai. But my colleague who is living in Singapore told me that their mortgage rates is only about 1% from DBS bank singapore, and their CPF loan for mortgage is about 2%.
The reason why loan rates is so high in Shanghai is because the deposit rates in Shanghai is higher too. The deposit rates for 1 years in Shanghai is about 3.25%, but it in Singapore is only about 0.8%. But still, I’d rather wish deposit rates in Shanghai could be low as that in Singapore, so that people like me can pay less for our mortgage. Because of these heavy mortgage, I have to limit my monthly spent again. Now, let’s see my cost of living in Singapore in June.
