Rental Cost in Philippines Manila

Looking for a place to stay can be really daunting especially if you are new to the area. Manila for instance is a very wide area populated with as much as 1,652,171 inhabitants. Hence, there are a lot of factors that you need to consider when looking for a place to stay aside from the cost that it will entail.

There are 3 ways of renting an apartment in the Philippines. First, you can resort to the media like the newspaper’s classified ads. However, most Filipinos opt to see the place in person. Hence, they would rather survey the place and look out for “apartment/house for rent” signs and agree with the home owner about the rental fee and other rental conditions. In most cases, there’s no need to sign any contract. Verbal agreement will often suffice.

The rental will also vary on the place. If it’s in the city proper, rental can be as expensive as $382 per month. But if you opt for a cheaper choice, you can rent to as cheap as $208 per month though this would mean travelling long from home to office and vice versa. You can rent an apartment for at least 2 months. The usual ruling is to pay 1 month advance and 1 month deposit (current month). This means paying 2 months of rentals before you will be allowed to transfer to your new home.
